Bakersfield, California—August 1, 2017—After 36 years as a Wealth Advisor with Morgan Stanley, Bradley C. Barnes, CFP® decided it was time to take the advice he consistently gives to clients and become an entrepreneur. So he quit his prestigious wirehouse job, and together with his son Andrew C. Barnes, another Morgan Stanley veteran, launched Entruity Wealth, an independent advisory firm.

The client-first mentality shared by both the co-founders sees a client as belonging to their new firm, rather than the individual advisor. For investors early in the asset accumulation stage of their careers, including the millennial generation, Entruity plans to offer a high-touch model that relies on technology to create long-only portfolios. Over time the firm intends to help those clients grow into more experienced investors who can access a range of wealth management services—a discretionary platform, use of ETFs and indexing, and the ability to take short positions. For the firm’s highest net-worth clients the Entruity team takes an active approach that is more highly levered, with greater risk and the potential for higher returns.
